Airports Authority Board Adds New Board Members,
Elects Vice Chairman
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors added two new members recently and elected a new Vice Chairman. Commonwealth of Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner has appointed Anne Crossman and Mame Reiley to represent the Commonwealth on the Board. Additionally the Board elected David T. Ralston, Jr. as Vice Chairman.
Ms. Crossman, of Vienna, is president of Completed Systems Inc., a groundbreaking software development company she founded in 1996. Ms. Crossman is a graduate of Catholic University, was named the 1998 Bloomingdale's Woman of the Year and is an active board member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She also currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce.
Mame Reiley, of Alexandria, is vice president and general manager of PGI-Washington, a events and communications agency. Ms. Reiley also worked as Director of the Inaugural activities for Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner in 2001 and served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Jim Moran. She was awarded the Hospitality Ambassador of the Year by the Washington Convention and Visitors Association in 2000. Ms. Reiley is a graduate of Sacred Heart College in North Carolina.
Mr. Ralston is a Partner in the law firm of Foley & Lardner. He is a member of the Washington Airports Task Force, and the Greater Washington Board of Trade, and serves on the Virginia Debt Capacity Advisory Committee. He also served as Chairman of the Authority from 1997-2000. Mr. Ralston is also an appointee of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Ms. Crossman and Ms. Reiley replace former Virginia appointees Robert L. Calhoun and Robert B. Young, Jr., whose terms ended with the Authority Board.
The Airports Authority is governed by a 13-person Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the Governors of Virginia and Maryland, The Mayor of the District of Columbia and the President of the United States.
