DULLES CORRIDOR METRORAIL PROJECT
- Description of the Investment: The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), in cooperation with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), is constructing an 11.7-mile extension of the region’s Metrorail system from west of the existing East Falls Church Metrorail station through the large Tysons Corner employment and retail center to Wiehle Avenue in the Reston area of Fairfax County. The project will be operated as a separate Metrorail line under a new service configuration that terminates in Washington, DC at the existing Stadium-Armory Metrorail station. The proposed project scope includes construction of five new stations, a 2300-space park-and-ride lot at Wiehle Avenue, and expanded storage capacity at WMATA’s West Falls Church rail yard. The project also includes the purchase of 64 heavy rail vehicles. The extension will be operated by WMATA, with trains operating at seven minute peak frequencies from the Wiehle Avenue station through East Falls Church, continuing along the existing Metrorail Orange Line track east through Arlington County, downtown Washington, DC, Capitol Hill, and terminating at Stadium-Armory. The 11.7-mile extension is the first phase of a proposed 23.1-mile extension of Metrorail west to Dulles International Airport and Loudoun County.

REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY 1C/19C AT WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
- Description of the Investment: This project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 6,200 ft of Runway 1C-19C and partial construction of connector Taxiways W2, W3, W4, D and E. The project also reconstructs Taxiway Y6 and approximately 200 feet of Taxiways Y4 and Y5. The work includes the demolition of miscellaneous items including removal of existing concrete pavement, installation of erosion and sediment control measures, earthwork and embankment, construction of new Portland cement concrete pavements and bituminous pavements, construction of pavement underdrains, installation of airfield lighting, marking and signage, and seeding and sodding.

CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION CAMERAS AT RONALD REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT
- Description of the Investment: In partnership with the local Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (Airports Authority) will purchase, install and expand the existing video surveillance system to enhance aviation security at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The placement of the new cameras will enable TSA and Ronald Reagan Airport to keep visual surveillance of passenger/baggage volume and activity. The enhanced system will able to monitor checkpoint lines on the non-secure areas of the checkpoints and provide coverage of the baggage resolution rooms. These additional cameras will increase airport security, allow better personnel deployment, and assist with resolution of suspicious items.
