How To Apply

These instructions apply to all student positions except Student Ambassador positions at Reagan National Airport

To be considered for a student position, you must apply for an available position.

  • How to Submit Your Application

After following the links from the Available Positions page, select the position title that interests you.  Scroll down to learn more about the position.  Then, scroll up and click “submit your application”.  Follow the prompts and be sure to copy and paste your resume and cover letter (include the position number) and complete the online Employment Application.   

  • How to Submit Your Official Transcript

Your application will not be considered without an official transcript.  Request your official transcript when you apply for the position so that the transcript is received within one week of your application.  The transcript verifies that your GPA meets the minimum requirement of 2.5 for your last completed semester and that you are taking at least nine credit hours (undergraduate students) or at least two courses (graduate students).  Have your school mail your official (sealed) transcript to:  Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, 1 Aviation Circle, Washington, DC 20001, Attn: Student Program, Room 106.14.  If you are applying for more than one job, you need only submit one transcript.

These instructions apply to Student Ambassador positions at Dulles International Airport only

  • How to Submit Your Application

Email your resume and a brief cover letter indicating the position in which you are interested to dulles.ambassadors@mwaa.com.   

  • How to Submit Your Official Transcript

Your application will not be considered without an official transcript.  Request your official transcript when you apply for the position so that the transcript is received within one week of your application.  The transcript verifies that your GPA meets the minimum requirement of 2.5 for your last completed semester and that you are taking at least nine credit hours (undergraduate students) or at least two courses (graduate students).  Have your school mail your official (sealed) transcript to:  Dulles Ambassador Program, P.O. box 17045, Washington Dulles International Airport, Washington, DC  20041-0045.  .  If you are applying for more than one job, you need only submit one transcript.

Your application will be complete when the cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, and official transcript are received.  Please make sure that you request your official transcript when you submit your cover letter and resume so the three items are received within 7 to 10 days of each other.   If all three items are not received, your application will not be considered.  Students who are selected for an interview will be notified.
