Traditional Irish Dancers Entertain Passengers
at Washington’s Airports on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17
Irish eyes will be smiling and toes will be tapping at Washington’s airports on Thursday, March 17 when Irish dancers perform—part of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority’s new performing arts program.
The Airports Authority brings musicians, singers, dancers and other artists to Reagan National and Dulles to provide entertainment for our passengers to enjoy throughout the year. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, dancers from the Culkin School of Traditional Irish Dance in Silver Spring will be performing at both airports. Here is the schedule:
Washington Dulles International Airport
Date and Time: Thursday, March 17 from 9 AM to 10 AM
Location: East end of Main Terminal ticket counter level
(near the entrance to security screening)
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Date and Time: Thursday, March 17 from 12 noon to 1 PM
Location: Terminal C
(near the Cosi restaurant)
The Culkin School was founded in 1997 and currently enrolls more than 400 students with the goal of preserving the unique tradition of Irish music and dance and passing it on to new generations of dancers. Dancers will be performing reels, jigs and hornpipes as solo steps and fun group dances for our passengers to enjoy on St. Patrick’s Day.
